Simmons has made it clear that he no longer wants to play for the Philadelphia 76ers, and his latest real estate deal reinforces this. The famous point guard offered his unique home for $5 mιllιon recently.
The listing came a day after the 76ers sent him home from practice and suspended him for one game for team-harming behavior.
The three-time NBA all-star, who bought the property in 2019 for $2.275 mιllιon a few months after earning a $170 mιllιon contract extension with the 76ers, is ambitious at $5 mιllιon. He bought a 12,000-square-foot Hidden Hills house for $17.5 mιllιon during the summer and likely only lives there during basketball season.
His selling space is 10,500 square feet smaller. The 76ers play at the Wells Fargo Centre, 25 miles from its 1.8 acres in Moorestown, New Jersey.
The three-story mansion on a cul-de-sac has a basketball hoop at the driveway, but it lacks the outdoor amenities of his Hidden Hills home. Zebra-print quartz worktops, an all-black eating area, and a bespoke sofa in the theater are within.
Five bedrooms, five and a half toilets, a breakfast booth, a wine wall, a ventilated lounge, numerous bars, an elevator, an aquarium, a confectionery room, a billiards room, and an LED-lit gaming area are also available. The listing shows Simmons’ uniforms and magazine covers on the walls. A neon green “Simmo the Savage!” sign lights an alcove.
A private terrace on the master suite overlooks the pastoral grounds, which have an irrigation system, privacy landscaping, and a six-foot fence around a tiny artificial turf dog park.
Simmons, an Australian, attended LSU for one year before the 76ers drafted him first overall in 2016. The 25-year-old NBA Rookie of the Year in 2018 has been an all-star for three seasons.
