According to the Evening Standard, Tottenham will turn down any offers from Manchester United for Harry Kane this summer.
A source from the Evening Standard insists Tottenham do not want to sell Harry Kane to Premier League rivals like Man United. Spurs are willing to keep the 29-year-old at home and let him go free when his contract expires in the summer of 2024.
Man United is looking for a striker to plug in the transfer market and sees Kane as the No. 1 target. Last week it was rumored that Man United would send an early offer to Tottenham to get Kane’s signature.
However, Kane hinted at the Premier League closing match that he could stay at Tottenham for another year. Kane says Spurs need to do better in 2023/24: “It’s been a disappointing season. We cannot let this victory overshadow that. There’s still a lot of work to do. We needed to show fighting spirit at some point. A club of this size shouldn’t be in eighth place. We need to enjoy the break and see how we can improve.”
Harry Kane will certainly receive offers from Man United and other clubs this summer. At the present time, it is still unknown where Kane’s destination will be next season.
If he wants to stay in the Premier League, Kane has only one destination: Man United. Man City and Liverpool do not need more strikers. Meanwhile, Kane could not go to Arsenal and Chelsea due to his connection with Tottenham. But for Kane now, breaking the Premier League goalscoring record is the most important goal.
