Manchester United are reportedly set to meet Porto goalkeeper Diogo Costa’s release clause this summer. Costa became Portugal’s number one after ousting Rui Patricio from that spot just before the World Cup in Qatar.
Despite the lack of success at home and on the continent with Porto, Costa looks set to earn himself a big move.
A Bola claim that the highly-rated Porto goalkeeper has a £65m clause in his contract with the Portuguese giants and that United is ready to meet that clause to bring him to the Premier League.
That puts David de Gea’s future in question, with the club said to be delaying the signing of a new contract with him despite an agreement being reached.
De Gea was handed the Premier Golden Glove at Old Trafford when United faced Fulham, but the club is now hesitant to keep the Spaniard on his contract in the summer.
David Raya is another name linked with a move to the Reds, but a deal for Costa could be simpler for the club with a release clause in his contract.
