Ferdinand points out 4 Man Utd star ‘having no future’ at OTF

In order to assist Man United earn money and be competitive in the transfer season, Rio Ferdinand has highlighted the four players Erik ten Hag should trade this summer.

With Harry Kane and, in what would be a fantastic move, Neymar being rumored to join the club, the Dutchman recently revealed that he was ‘in the dark’ about how much he would be able to spend while the club is currently under takeover.

Ten Hag may have to search for ways to raise those monies on his own, such as by selling a number of players, as the 53-year-old has admitted his team has to strengthen and sign top-tier players in order to fight with Arsenal and Man City at the top of the table.

Scott McTominay, who has made 10 starts in 24 league games this season, will need to have some “hard conversations with the club over his future,” according to Ferdinand, who also shared his opinion on who should depart the team.

Ferdinand said on the Vibe with Five YouTube Channel, “Scott McTominay hasn’t played much football, not as much as he would like.”

If I were him as a young player, I would most likely begin evaluating the situation and begin having frank discussions with the club, asking whether they saw me as a part of it or not.

He won’t have any trouble finding a club because he is a very excellent footballer and can contribute a lot of value, and if I were that down on the food chain, I’d start looking.

The former United center-back then acknowledged that Harry Maguire, who joined the team from Leicester for a record-breaking £80m back in 2019, should also leave.

The 30-year-old signed a six-year contract when he joined the club, but has had trouble getting into the game this year, starting just eight of the 16 Premier League games he’s appeared in. He’ll be a free agent in 2025.

Anthony Elanga, 21, should consider other options, according to Ferdinand, who noted that the player hasn’t appeared since the beginning of March.

Harry Maguire needs to consider his own fresh options. Unless he expresses happiness at being the third or fourth option. Perhaps [another] is Elanga, but he won’t have a chance, Ferdinand stated.

Additionally, he proposed Anthony Martial be traded given how problematic his injury history is for United.

“Martial has shown he can’t stay in shape.” I believe there is £100m there that might be released if you got rid of those four. Elanga isn’t receiving as much football as he should.

He performed well when he first arrived, but he is still not given a chance. He has big guys in front of him, but he wants to play football for the first squad.

In the meantime, Mail Sport earlier today stated that David de Gea had ‘signed’ a new deal with the club as uncertainty over his future grew following an unsatisfactory season in which he received criticism for his distribution.

In the summer, Dean Henderson is also expected to move on to Norwich, which would increase Ten Hag’s transfer funds once again.
