The City trio were all absent as City ended the Premier League season with a 0-1 loss to Brentford on Sunday. The coach says fitness problems have kept them out at the weekend and admits he is unsure if they are fully fit for next week’s Wembley clash with Manchester United.
“Ruben hasn’t trained for 10 days and neither has Jack Grealish,” said Guardiola. “After the Brighton game, Kevin feels like the weeks before, they couldn’t play a few games. It’s not a big, big deal. I think they will be ready [for the FA Cup final] but not [after that], but in training sessions.”
The absence of De Bruyne, Grealish, and Dias will be a big loss for Man City if they cannot return to training in the coming days. The Belgian has made an incredible 16 assists in the Premier League this season and added seven more, while Grealish has assisted seven and scored five in the English top flight.
Meanwhile, midfielder Dias has been a key component of Man City’s defense with 41 appearances in all competitions this season. However, he has not played since his side beat Real Madrid 4-0 in the second leg of the Champions League semi-final on May 17.Q
