Mo Salah and Liverpool’s Teammates Share Fun Moments After a Tough Training Session

Salah and his teammates have just posted pictures of hang out with teammates after completing rigorous exercises for the final match of the 2022/23 season against Southampton.

What we know about Liverpool’s 2023 pre-season so far

After the mistakes made last summer, Liverpool needs to make amends during the forthcoming preseason. Here is what we currently know.

In his candid appraisal of the preparations for the previous preseason, Jurgen Klopp stated that he would have preferred the Asia trip to occur later than it did.

Lessons were taken to heart, and the club has now made preparations for a summer that will be crucial to Liverpool’s success in 2023–24.

So, when will the team be back, and what do we currently know about the summer schedule?

When does the preseason begin?

After the season is over, several Reds players will be on international duty, which has resulted in two alternative return dates:

Internationals not included: July 8 Across borders: July 11

Prior to departing to begin their preseason training, they will all report to the AXA Training Center for testing and then regroup at Kirkby for up to four days.

It has already been announced by Klopp that his team would travel to Germany for a training camp; the trip is scheduled to leave somewhere between July 13 and July 15.

It’s unfortunate that this prevents local friendlies versus neighborhood rivals for a second summer in a row.

They will spend close to two weeks at the German training camp, which will be held in Donaueschingen in the Black Forest, where Klopp was raised.

They are negotiating to play Karlsruher SC there in a game that would inaugurate the 2. Bundesliga team’s brand-new 34,000-seat Wildparkstadion.

Although tentatively scheduled for July 19, the friendly has not yet been finalized. While in Germany, it is anticipated that another fixture will be added to the calendar.

How about a tour to another country?

Any camps for training?

Liverpool will travel back to Asia from Germany, although they will just stop in Singapore for a short competition.

As part of the Singapore Festival of Football, they will play Leicester and Bayern Munich, although a meeting with Sadio Mane may not be in the cards given the uncertainty surrounding his future with the German powerhouses.

Leicester – 30 July Munich, Germany – August 2

The day before their two games, on July 29, they will hold an open training session. The Reds will arrive in Singapore in late July in advance of the league opener on August 12, and they will stay there for a few days.

Will there be a match at Anfield?

No, there won’t be a chance for a curtain raiser before the 2023–24 season begins as the team completes work on the new Anfield Road Stand.

Given that cranes will have been on the field for the roof removal in June, Liverpool has asked to play their opening game of the season away from home to give them an extra week.
